What is the Stetson Community Based Research (CBR) Program?

The Stetson University Community-Based Research program facilitates faculty, student, and community collaboration to plan and conduct research. Community-Based Research has a strong focus on addressing social problems identified by the community. Students learn to apply the theories and methods they have mastered in the classroom to real problems in the community and communities gain access to the rich research resources of the University. The result is a powerful learning experience for students and faculty as well as a valuable research product for communities.

The Stetson CBR Wiki

What is a Wiki?  Wikis are a cross between a Wikipedia page and a blog - not only can people comment on each page (like a blog), but people who have access can edit the content of each page (like a word document). The result is a collaborative, integrative tool that allows you to add whatever content you want to a ready-made website. The purpose of this wiki is to provide an online forum for faculty, student, and community partner collaboration concerning community-based research at Stetson University.

How do I use this Wiki? To view or submit CBR project ideas, use the starred links above. To learn more about community-based research at Stetson, view summaries of past CBR work and course listings, and connect with other members of the Stetson CBR Initiative, check out the Side Bar.

Tutorials on how to use and join the wiki and create a CBR profile can be found on the How to... page.

Further questions or concerns can be directed to the webmaster
